Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: March 25, 2026 · Required by the FTC

“GiftDuJour.com may earn a commission on purchases made through links on this site — at no extra cost to you.”

This is how we keep the lights on and the curation free. We only recommend products we genuinely believe in. Our editorial standards are not for sale.

The full story

What is affiliate marketing?

When you click a product link on GiftDuJour.com and make a purchase, the retailer may pay us a small referral commission — typically 3–15% depending on the program. You pay the same price you would pay going directly to the retailer. Nothing is added to your cart; nothing changes for you.

This model is standard practice across editorial, media, and lifestyle sites and is fully compliant with FTC (Federal Trade Commission) disclosure guidelines.

Which programs we participate in

We participate in affiliate programs including but not limited to:

  • Amazon Associates — Amazon.com product links
  • ShareASale — Various luxury and lifestyle brands
  • Commission Junction (CJ) — Select brand partnerships
  • Direct brand affiliate programs — Individual retailer programs

This list is not exhaustive. Any product link on our site may be an affiliate link.

How this affects our recommendations

Candidly: it doesn't. Our reputation depends on recommending gifts people actually love. We choose products based on quality, uniqueness, and suitability — not commission rate. Some of the best products we feature pay us nothing; some we choose not to feature despite higher commissions.

When we're paid to feature a product in a sponsored “hero” placement, we label it clearly as Sponsored. Organic editorial picks are never paid placements.

Paid placements (“hero” spots)

In addition to affiliate commissions, brands may pay for prominent featured placement on the site. These are clearly labeled as sponsored content. A paid placement does not mean we endorse all claims the brand makes — we review and approve all sponsored content for quality and relevance before publication.

Your rights

You are under no obligation to use our affiliate links. You can navigate directly to any retailer to make a purchase. This disclosure exists because we believe you deserve to know how we earn revenue — and because the FTC requires it.
